Help with a round

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can format text for a song that is sung in a round (the right side of our church starts the song, and the other side comes in later)? I know I could duplicate the texts but how to display them on the slide has been a bit of an issue. If I put them side by side, the length of the line is too short to display.  If I put them top and bottom, there isn't a good way of visually breaking the texts between the two sides.

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

How long is the round?  If it's short enough to fit on one slide, you probably don't need to print the text twice.  Rounds are often printed with some kind of marker in the music to indicate where the next voice joins in; if it's not obvious, you could stick in a special character of some kind to indicate the starting place.

We do some songs that are call-and-response, sort of.  In PowerPoint, I would italicize one set of lines, and right-justify them, like so:

Lord, create my heart anew

     Father, come and make us wise

Only You are pure and true

     Lead us away from our demise

 

You can't do this on a song slide in Proclaim, sadly.  There are a few options:

1. Put the song on a content slide, and italicize and indent the "echo" lines

2. Do the song in PowerPoint and import it

3. Put the echo lines in (parentheses) instead

 

None are particularly elegant, I'm afraid, but that's the best I've got.
