Im new to Proclaim and so far im loving it, but i am unable to improt any txt files. This Error occurs "C:users\philgado\desktop\Fortaleza.txt did not contain and recognizable songs" Please help and thank you!!
Hi Phillip,
When you are using the "Import Songs" window, the text files you import must follow certain formatting guidelines. This feature is intended for users who wish to import songs from MediaShout, Easy Worship, or Song Select. If your text file doesn't follow that formatting, Proclaim can't parse it and recognize it.
However, you can still import your non-specially-formatted text files. Create a Song service item and click the "File" link that you see just above the content area. This will let you import your text file, even if it doesn't have specialized formatting.
Thank you.
HI Ann.
Thank you for your help. So is there any way to import original songs and have them come up where you would type the song name? Or do i just have to open up the file each time we want to sing it. It would seem to be much easier if our song was under my songs. Thank you again [:D]
Just type in the title of your song in the title field (in my screenshot, it's the highlighted field that says "Song" in it) and press Enter.
It can take a few moments, but after about a minute the song will be added to "My Songs" with the title you've entered as the song name. In future when you want to add that song to a presentation, type the song title into the title field and it should appear under "My Songs" in the dropdown.
Having uploaded 300 text files created from our PowerPoint collection, one song at a time, it sure would have been nice to a bulk upload option for them. Maybe a quick bit of documentation on how to format the text files for bulk uploading would make the process less obnoxious?
This is a good idea! I'd encourage you to post your suggestion on our UserVoice page: http://proclaim.uservoice.com/
Thanks,
