We have been using NIV 84 for some time and about 6 weeks ago it disappeared. The only NIV available now is the newer 2011. Where did 84 go? Can we get it back?

Firstly, welcome.
Unfortunately, it is bad news. I understand, from the thread here, that the NIV '84 is no longer available in Proclaim due to licensing issues. It is my further understanding that this issue is not unique to Proclaim, but rather that the NIV '84 has been pulled across the board (i.e. that this will effect other software platforms) and will no longer be made available.
For your information, Ann Boyles, a Logos employee, writes elsewhere,
...due to licensing issues, we are no longer able to continue showing the NIV84 in Proclaim. It did take a little longer for Proclaim to "catch up" to this requirement, but we are there now. We could have communicated better about the upcoming change on the forums, and for that and the resulting confusion I apologize.
