Video local upload

When I load my videos locally they get a gray rather than a black background.  When  upload them to the server they get a black background.  Is there any way to get a black background locally?

    Hello Carol,

    I'm not entirely clear what you are describing. What is the format of the video you are uploading? Which platform are you using? When you say "black background", do you mean the area around the video when it is playing when the presentation is On Air? Or do you mean the thumbnail that appears in the timeline?

    The only instance I see of a place where you get a gray background is in the thumbnails on Windows for a local only file. I agree that in that instance you should be getting a preview thumbnail rather than a grey square, and I have brought it to the attention of our developers.

    If that's not what you are referring to, could you perhaps provide a screenshot of what you mean? Thank you.
