Using Proclaim and other software simultaneously

We have one computer in our media booth that runs the media for the service and records the sermon audio.  During the second service, the techs burn the sermon CD's while the pastor is preaching.  This way, CD's are available by the end of the second service if people want them.  The teaching pastor uses his own laptop to run PowerPoint for his sermon.

We're trying to simplify and eliminate the pastor's laptop from the loop.  Is it possible to have the pastor control his sermon in Proclaim using his iPhone, while at the same time having the techs burn CD's on the same computer?

This depends very much on the computer (and indeed the operating system).

I have access to a 2007 core 2 white mac book. It runs Proclaim nicely but trying to multitask - e.g. playing background music tends to make it run noticeably slower.

My Core i5 macbook air on the other hand was happily updating software while running Proclaim at full speed.

Sorry I can't speak about Windows form experience.
