Autobiography of Martin Chemnitz
When loaded up Logos today it reminded me that this is the day for Martin Chemnitz. He was born on November 9th back in 1522, so this is his Birthday (sorta? - Julian calendar and all)
Anyway, Martin Chemnitz is one of the most important theologians the Lutheran church has produced. That said, he has not been that influential beyond Lutheran circles, meaning that little is available in the Public domain in English, or fully modern English anyway. But I looked anyway for something to celebrate the holy-day and found a link to this work at Wikipedia. His Autobiography was translated by August Graebner and published in the Concordia Theological Quarterly in 1899, available on Google Books at http://books.google.com/books?id=fi8bAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA472&vq=%22An+Autobiography+of+Martin+Kemnitz%22&source=gbs_search_r&cad=1_1#v=onepage&q=%22An%20Autobiography%20of%20Martin%20Kemnitz%22&f=false
No heavy theological themes are apparent in this work, but it may be of interest for those of you wanting to know about this member of the Great Cloud of Witnesses that came before us.

Thanks for the upload file of Chemnitz' autobiography. I did note his commemoration on Friday, but alas it was a hectic week and several "loose" ends that needed tying down. I enjoyed the manuscript you sent this afternoon.[:)]
