Is it useful to report typing errors?

Dear brothers / sisters in the Lord,

As I use the FLB I regularly come across various erros:

- typing mistakes

- links to verses which in my view are not really relevant.

Is it useful to report them? If so, to whom?

God bless you all!

Typographical errors certainly should be reported as they will be fixed. Links are a more complex issue - if the reference is in error and you know what it should be, certainly report it. If you simply don't see the connection, I'd suggest you do what I do in Logos cross-reference ... I assume that there is some arcane relationship between original words, grammar, syntax or specific theological stance that somehow connect them. Some day I might even figure out what it is.[:)]

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

The way to report typos is select the text in question, right-click on it, and choose Report Typo from the left side of the menu. (This command is only available if you are online, because it needs to be able to send the typo report over the Internet.) Then enter the corrected text, and any (optional comments), and click Submit. You will get an email confirmation -- only for the first typo you report each day.

To avoid any potential confusion - the approach Rosie outlined works when using FLB on Windows or Mac.

This option isn't available on the mobile platforms - iOS or Android (it has been requested)

Thank you for your explanation. Unfortunately that function is not available on my iPad. I will try it out on my Mac and see if the link gives an email address.

    Hi Eamann

Yes, it won't work on the iPad but should on your Mac.

You won't get an email address - you are given a dialog box into which to report the typo.

As Rosie said you should get an email confirmation after reporting it

It has been a decade. Any news on when reporting typos will be functional on an iPad? I am always making notes to myself, when reading on the iPad, to then reopen Logos on a PC to report the typos I find.
