User Voice suggestion RE Personal Books

Wrote this up a few minutes ago... Anyone else out there that wishes for this, or similar functionality within Logos?
Seems like it would be easy to do (certainly easier than turning logos into a media player).
Or am I just so unfamiliar with logos controls, that this functionality is already built in, and I just don't know how to make use of it?

Hey Ken -
I dont have a lot of time to think about this right now, but I wanted to give you a quick suggestion... you can create dropbox links and put them into the PBB now...[;)]

well... That might work for some files... But do the math with me on my classes...
1 mpg from 1 class is 500mb.
17 weeks of class, 3 classes per week = ~50 classes, minus breaks... Lets call it 40 classes to keep the math simple.
40 classes x 500mb = 20gb.my hard drive is multiple terabytes, but my dropbox is only about 8gb.
I could set up a iis server, can regular URL's be used? just seems unnecessary to have Logos pull a local resource over the internet.for those of you who don't know what it is Dropbox:

Regular URLs can be used, you can put the link to where it's hosted by your school directly in the book.

Thats a pretty good idea... But won't work for everything... I would sooner set up a local IIS, as I could ensure the file locations don't change.
Is there any documentation on HTML in PB's? Or using a URL in PB's?

Also, that would work for anything I can download via an RSS feed, BUT, for things that require a login first - just having the file linked wouldn't necessarily work. Not sure whether my classes have an RSS feed or not... If they do, I can harvest the direct download link from that and bypass needing to log in.

would really like to know HOW to link a URL in a personal book... thanks!
Standard HTML works for URL's.
