Newbie questions

My pastor has asked me to look into Proclaim as a potential replacement for our current presentation software. I have downloaded the free version and have been able to put together almost everything for a typical service, but the "Repeat" checkbox next to the Auto-Advance feature under the pre-service loop is grayed out. Is that because I don't have the full software yet or is there something else I am missing to be able to repeat the pre-service loop?

Also, I'm trying to preview the songs, and there is one that keeps fading to black on a specific slide. I then have to switch to another song and click back on that one, but it still fades to black (in other words, background and text disappear). Has anyone else experienced that?

For reference, I am working on a Mac OS X, but likely I will be using a PC some of the time to work on this and test it. I'm still just getting started on all of this so I'm likely to have more questions as there isn't really any help documentation.

The pre-service loop automatically repeats. It keeps looping until the service time that is entered. Also, if you have anything in the Warm-up section (say, for instance, a 5-min. countdown video) the pre-service loop will loop until 5 minutes before your service time and the countdown video (or whatever else you have in your warm-up section) will automatically come on. For me it was a little confusing at first, too. Hope this helps.

Do you have a checkmark next to the Slide Order field? That is, above the lyrics you'll see a listing of things like "Chorus 1, Verse1, ... etc." Try unchecking that box.

Also, if you have two pairs of dashes in the lyrics that will create a blank slide.
