Default highlight uses

I am mostly fine with the default highlight pallet. However, I would like to change the names of the default highlights rather than have to duplicate and rename. That just adds more clutter. Is there a way to do this?

Second, does anyone have suggestions on how they organize and use the default highlights?

Unfortunately the default sets are static, they can't be edited. I prefer using custom palates with custom styles. It allows me full control on what I have or don't have. The custom names are helpful for when I want to search within highlights.
