I have embedded a video in Powerpoint, but it will not play in Proclaim. Does anyone know how to get it to work?
I don't believe we can support video placed into a PowerPoint natively. Try uploading that video to your presentation in a Video item separately.
Thanks,
I was able to play a video embedded in Powerpoint using WIndows 7 and Powerpoint 2010. I suspect it depends on a variety of things, including the playback settings you set in Powerpoint itself.
If you click on the video you've embedded in Powerpoint, you can edit things like the Playback settings.
I agree with Hunter that if you want more control over your video item, it is probably best to add it as its own video service item. However, I am able to get an embedded video to work for me.
Also, sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but you must choose "Transfer control to Powerpoint" rather than "Convert to images" in order to be able to do things like play an embedded video.
