Before I consider using Proclaim ...

We are a rural church and don't have the greatest internet connection. The best signal I ever get is 3 Meg bandwidth. It sometimes drops to 2 Meg.

Then we connect wireless in sanctuary - not wired.

Also, can Proclaim be used if the internet goes down on Sunday morning or Wednesday night?

So I need to know minimum realistic specs for running Proclaim effectively.

Hi Bill

Proclaim will work without Imternet as presentations are cached locally, you can even make changes to the locally cached version without Internet connectivity.

Some features, such as remote controls and signals do require Internet connectivity to work.

With the bandwidth you have available I would look at using any videos locally as opposes to on Logos servers.

But it should work, it would just be worth experimenting a little to understand how it would work best in your context.

I suggest you download the software (which you can do for free) and try it.

Rev Bill, Graham is correct, Proclaim can be used even if your Internet goes down. You can use videos locally, or once your presentation is made on the presenting machine then whole presentation will be cached locally. The videos should not sync again when you take your computer into the sanctuary to present. As Graham suggested, download it and test it out. We just posted a blog on how to make a sample presentation.
