The desktop updated to 5.0a several days ago. After repeated attempts, I have yet to get the laptop to cooperate. I have typed update now and update resources too many times to count. Any Ideas?
You need to install it using the link to the installer on your orders page.
I have to install everything again?...I have 5.0 sr3 now. I just want the 5.0a update.
If you haven't yet, close and restart Logos. If that doesn't work, you may have to reboot the computer.
If that doesn't work, read on.
Since 5.0a is on the default channel you should be getting it, if you're on the default (or the beta) channel. I have found out that being on the stable channel doesn't always result in getting updates as they come. So, either default or beta should work. (You can check to see which update channel are you on by clicking on help/about - if nothing is there you're on the default channel.)
I have sometimes found that typing in set update channel to default (even if I'm already on the default channel) will force a version check and download the appropriate updates.
I sincerely appreciate your replies. Unfortunately it didn't work. I got through to customer service. They are baffled as well. I have a backup I'm going to try. Maybe that will do the trick.

The link on your Order page is smart enough to handle an update, similar to Update now.
