Not all slides allow text formatting

I noticed that certain types of slides allow formatting like "Outer Glow, Drop Shadow, etc" whereas others do not. For example, this formatting is allowed for Song lyrics but a regular "Content" or "Bible" slide does not have these options for the "Main Content" section. It does, however, allow it for added captions. My problem is that I need to use this formatting for Bible verses and I am not allowed.

This is currently by design, but I encourage you to upvote an existing suggestion for this at http://proclaim.uservoice.com.

I voted for it but it really is a must have thing. The current implementation is very limiting
