Note that the Bible Study Method is a duplicate of an earlier posting. This is a first cut at a template and I'd be interested in feedback.  The sample is from the web document not original.

    I think there is sufficient information in 1 Sam 17 for an answer to Q3:-

    Q2 "What does God want?" - God does want His people to stand in opposition to the false proclamations of men

    Q3 "What is God doing?" - He is already showing that the man prepared by God will prevail.

    Why did not Saul stand before this blasphemer? David was not the natural warrior, but he trusted that what the Lord had done in the past would allow him to prevail against this predator of the flock of God (v34-37). David had the shepherd's heart that Saul clearly lacked.

    The Method comes naturally to me, though I'm not as methodical to go 3 times through the text, and I ask supplementary Q's as above.
