Lemma and Lexham Bible frustration

It has been a little frustrating with Verbum lately. Whenever I go to do research for a homily, I like to have several bible tabs up and running. I had an issue where Verbum just would not respond to mouse or keyboard. Posting here, I learned that The Lexham Bible tab was freezing everything, so I would close it and things would respond again. Now, The LEB is the only bible I have that brings up the translation bar at the bottom - Lemma, Strong's, etc., which makes it easy to quickly glance at what a word might mean in the original setting.

Every time I try to bring up the LEB tab, it freezes the program, or at least makes it so slow it is unusable. Is there another way to have that bar up and running and not affect the performance of Verbum? I have 8gb of ram, so I would think there is enough memory to work with?

Any help, or even sympathy would be good.

Jimmy, you can turn it off with the Reverse-Interlinear toggle located on the tool bar at the top of the resource panel.

However, it should not slow L5 to become unusable. Never use it myself, so I can't give first-hand testimony.

Personally prefer to use visual filter highlighting to "see" verbal range of expression in parallel resources:

The highlighting palette is useful for a visual key to the colors. When want a contextual range of meaning for a Greek word, personally use Louw-Nida in the New Testament:

Changing Interlinear Display to show surface text and Louw-Nida #'s, allows a mouse hover on a Louw-Nida # to pop-up with contextual range of meaning.

I'll offer sympathy - admittedly I'm running the beta but I've grown weary of the crashes and non-functioning features with no response from Logos. Yes, I know they deserve time with their families, the kids are out of school, etc. ... but thinking only of myself, I want it fixed and I want it fixed NOW. [:@]

More realistically, I wish there was someone at Logos acknowledging my misery.[:P]

No, I'm not on a Mac. Jumped off the Apple boat when they abandoned me with an Apple IIe and all the trimmings. Went IBM compatible and never looked back.

So if I'm a Windows and Android guy now, do I still get a little bit of sympathy? [:)]

I just checked to verify my age befuddled brain (after all, I'll be 39 on my next birthday). If I understand you correctly, the NRSV also has this feature. Everyone knows how avid a fan I am to interlinears and the like so I'm not the one to speak regarding such a problem, but you might try the NRSV if Lexham is causing problems.

Thanks Keep Smiling 4 Jesus. The Louw-Nida must be a resource I don't have, but did get the Inline function to work with Strong #'s underneath. Seems to be a much better flow for operating and doesn't slow down my computer!

Thanks! I don't have the NRSV, but do have RSVCE and it can do interlinear and inline - perfect!

The problem does seem to be with the Lexham Bible. Now how do I turn it of so it doesn't automatically show up when I do a research layout?

Two things:

You may have the LEB specified in your layout. Remove it and substitute your other bible (then resave your layout)
It might also be a matter of prioritizing. Prioritize your other bible above the LEB.

The Louw-Nida Greek-English lexicon => http://www.logos.com/product/199/greek-english-lexicon-of-the-new-testament-based-on-semantic-domains is included in Logos 5 base packages: Platinum, Diamond, and Portfolio.

Thread => searching strong's numbers includes lexicon prioritization so right click on a word has one list for lemma and a different list for Strong #'s.
