When I import pictures that are the correct size, it still gives me black around the edges. If I choose them from graceway, then they work. What do I do to get rid of the black edges.
Are you trying to add an image using the "Add Image" link on the "Content" section, to use as the background for your slide? If so, you will want to use the "Background" tab and use the "File" link near the top of the section. The two functions are intended for different things, and I think you'll find the Background section is what you are looking for.
I am not able to reproduce that behavior.
Are you uploading the images to a Content slide by selecting Add Image?
If so, try selecting Background then File... to upload instead.
I still have the black edges, but Im guessing the file size of the picture is wrong.
I have also tried to add an image - just a simple picture I would like to add to a slide. I don't want it as a background - but as an illustration picture. It will add, only in the center, no ability to manipulate it after it is added (relocate it, shift its position, resize it).
When I try to add it under the background tab, as suggested earlier in the post, proclaim crashes. This behavior repeats any time I try to add a picture via the 'file' option on the background tab.
I can add the image by adding a PPT show - but this defeats the purpose of having a single-source program...if I wanted to build a PPT show, I would not be using Proclaim.
Is there a "simple" ability to add a picture and then manipulate it in Proclaim, without having to build a slide in PPT and then importing it?
Thanks...
Leo

The application certainly shouldn't crash! I'd appreciate seeing your log files, and possibly a copy of that image if you'd be so kind.

Hunter,
Sorry - I didn't tag this thread to notify me of responses. I tried to duplicate the "crash" behavior - and it hasn't happened again other than that one day...so...go figure...thus, because I can't repeat, I cannot get an image...
FYI - I removed and reloaded Proclaim that day, when this was happening...perhaps somehow my link had corrupted something...don't know...but it is working as advertised now...
Also...I figured out (With the help of Ann Boyles - sp.) how to import an image...just flat missed that link! Typical "If it had been a snake..." scenario...
