Running beta software on one computer - trying to get L5 working on another

I am trying to get L5 working on a new computer - using method 2 from http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers.
However, when I try and start L5 on the new computer it fails due to a schema mismatch.
I am assuming this is because - having used the link from my L5 order page to download the software - the software on the new computer is running the stable version of the code but trying to access the beta versions of the database.
I can't download the beta software directly as there isn't a link to that installer.
I could remove L5 from the new computer and download it completely over the Internet. That should work but would take quite a bit of time.
Is there any other way of getting around this? I am sure I saw it discussed in the last couple of months and a solution was demonstrated but I can't find it.
Any thoughts appreciated
Graham

One thought is using method 1, which should have Logos 5 Beta installer already downloaded on old computer.
Another thought is using Method 3 with stable Logos 5 link from orders page. Once installed, then set update channel to beta.

Thanks KS4J

I see that that could work

I don't understand how this would help. I can't run Logos to the point where I can change the update channel. What am I missing?
Thanks, Graham

You would first have to uninstall what is there, then use Method 3 from a backup of resources to install the (literally) stable version. Then you can update to the beta via the command set update channel to beta
