We are playing with Proclaim and one issue we have is that we need to be able to record the sermon... we thought going to blank screen would enable us to go fire up the recorder app, but not so.... are we missing something?
Sound like you only have one screen on your computer. You may have to start recording before you go on air or get a second screen so you can multitask while the presentation is running. Thatsbwhat we do.
Thanks George. We can do that..... can you describe how this would work? If Proclaim is in use how would the sound guy get to the other screen without disturbing the Proclaim?
You would set your computer to extend your desktop. On Monitor 1 you could have Proclam running. On monitor 2 you can have your Audio software running. In proclaim under settings, monitor setup make sure you set monitor 2 to not show anything from Proclaim.
You can then drag the mouse between both monitors and control both.
Mike, if all you are doing is recording the service that should be easy enough for one person to do on one computer. Alt-Tab (or Command-Tab if you are on a Mac) to switch to the recording program and press record, then switch back to Proclaim.
If the sound person needs to use the computer for more than that during the service then you need another computer, as two people can't use one computer at the same time.
If you are streaming your services online then you need a second computer. (This is the setup we have.) Streaming is very processor intensive so that needs a dedicated computer that doesn't have other stuff running on it while the streaming is taking place.
Thanks!!!
