Is it possible to insert text over a video slide? That's one of the big things that's keeping us from getting on board with Proclaim. Thanks!

Yes it is... I run our prayer request and monthly birtdays with a video background and all the names on the content layer.
How do you add content layer? Is that option only available when you purchase the license for the program?
The demo is fully functional.
To do so you:
Go to add item
Choose Content
When it adds, you will enter your text there in the content area.
After you enter your text choose the background tab. Select your video file from the "file" option
you are good to go.
To make things look better choose "customize" under the content tab
