upgrading from Logos 4 to Logos 5

I am using Logos 4 and am happy with it.  I really do not want to upgrade to Logos 5.  I am 71 years old and there is enough in Logos 4 for me to use.  Do I HAVE to upgrade to Logos 5?

I would hate to lose Logos 4.  I paid a fair amount of money to own the complete works of Frances Shaeffer on Logos 4 and I want to keep them.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

They will work in Logos 5 just as they work in Logos 4. You won't lose any resources if you move to L5 so this shouldn't be a consideration.

I forgot to make the point:  I don;t want to upgrade to 5 because 4 works for me and my vision situation is just getting to the point where additional stuff is not what I want.  I want to keep 4 and use it and not have any extra expense.

    Thanks for your quick reply...

Your only concern could come when/if you need to replace your computer. Until then, you're just fine.

    Dear Lynn,

You don't have to upgrade from Logos 4 to Logos 5 if you don't want to.  Logos will continue to keep Logos 4 functioning.  I know of some people who are still using Logos 3 and are happy with it.  You will not use any of your resources should you choose to upgrade from Logos 4 to Logos 5.  Logos 5 is a far better engine than Logos 4 in my personal opinion.  You might want to consider the Logos 5 free engine when it becomes available.

Wiki => http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_5_Video_Tutorials includes link to a Logos 5 introduction video so can see what's new => http://www.logosbiblesoftwaretraining.com/introducing-v5/  For example, Home Page bar with chosen Features now displays on the left hand side instead of across the top.

Free Logos 5 engine upgrade will be released soon, perhaps in February.

Curious about current operating system ?  Logos 5 does not work on Windows XP nor OS X 10.5 Leopard.

    Keep Smiling [:)]
