Chinese New Version Bible (新譯本)

It is good to have a new Chinese version of Bible for pre-pub.  If Logo puts more different versions of Chinese Bible in the future, it will be great for Chinese Christians.

I think the 3rd para may need to be reworded, unless RVI is available [:)]

The only thing we can do is to link the CNV Chinese panel with other panels with Bible Reference Milestone tag, as describe in the last two sentences. Specifically:

 

• There are no Chinese Dictionaries, lexicons around in Logos (yet)

Can you consider to have the Simplified Chinese version too? Just curious as to why Simplified Version is not available for this and the "Revised Chinese Union Version". Thanks.

I am not sure whether I have clicked the right button, but I am trying to ask if Logos has or has the plan of supplying the Catholic version of the Chinese Bible.

It's interesting that they mention that it is "of the most popular and welcomed versions of the Bible among worldwide Chinese churches and Christians." Maybe it should read "overseas Chinese" instead.

Certainly they don't mean the hundred million or so in the PRC. I don't know anyone who accepts these kinds of new translations. I personally think new translations are useful, but most people think that the CUV is sufficient, and anyway new translations lead to confusion. There is enough confusion already without the addition of everybody bringing a different version to church.

I'd like to see a simplified RCUV as well. It's almost unbelievable that they publish the traditional one first, since the majority of Chinese people live in the PRC.

We use CUV in the church service.  Ninety five percent of our congregations are from PRC.  I also encourage saints to look into the different versions of Bible including English.  But we use CUV only for the church service.  It will not cause any confusion but understand the profound meaning of God's Word.
