Not able to invite or add member to group

I created a group and added some documents, then invited 2 members. They did get the invites. One had a previous Logos account and one did not. The one who did not have an account clicked on the response and got to the site, but didn't know what to do once He got there. Are there instructions for this?

Then to be able to see the problems myself, I tried a 3rd invite. I added it 3 times and every time after I clicked on finished, it disappeared and did not increment the people invited counts.

Any help would be appreciated. I need to find out if this system is useable.

Even though the Faithlife site did not record the 3rd invite, I found that the email was sent. I clicked on the "Accept this invitation and was taken to the group on Faithlife and when I tried to join, it gave this error:

Internal server error

There was an error processing your request.

Return to Faithlife

My guess is that this is because there is no account for this person which should have been addressed when he accepted the invitation. ??????????????

I'll answer my own question. If the person you invite has not created an account, they will get this internal error when they try to join. If they had gone to the faithlife.com page and created an account, the system immediately asks them to k=join after they have created the account. So there is a problem in inviting people that do not have accounts under the email that you invite them with. It should know that they don;t have an account and ask them to create one. Need some changes to this process. Also, we need to be able to control what type of member we invite them as in a closed group.

Did he arrive at the sign-in/create account page? That's where he should have gone. Are you saying there needs to be instructions for the account creation process?

This is a bug and I will look into it. Email invites do not show up under "Pending invites (n)" nor do they increase the counter even if they were sent successfully.

Yes, it is [:)]. My small group loves using Faithlife.com and we find the Community Notes feature particularly helpful.

This one's a little more complicated. Were you still signed into faithlife.com when you followed the "Accept this invitation" link? Here's what I am thinking happened: You were signed in as Michael Lasley and sent an email to email address X. When you followed the link in the email to X, it opened it in Faithlife.com as Michael Lasley. Michael Lasley does not have permission to accept the invite since that account does not have email address X. That is why you got an error.
