Getting ready to upgrade our computer here and am giving serious consideration to a mac mini. Anyone out there using one to run Proclaim currently? Any feedback on the positives r negatives is greatly appreciated!
We are. Works great. We maxed out the ram just to make sure things run smooth.
We re too. We had some work to make it interface with our VGA monitors and projectors but got it working.
Thanks for the info!
Was your solution a VGA to HDMI cable? How is the quality with the solution you used? Any other input or advice is welcomed!
Any pitfalls you have discovered?
We got a new monitor that takes a DVI input and used an HDMI to DVI adapter for that. We run the Proclaim software on that making it the primary monitor in OSX. We then used the mini display to VGA adapter that Apple sells to plug the computer into our box that powers the extra monitor and three projectors. It's a signal amplifier since we're running it from over 200 feet away through the rafters from the alcony of our church. They look fine. As good as when we had all of them connected off a dual port video card in our old Windows PC from 6 years ago.
The only struggle we had was learning how to switch the main monitor in OS X. In case anyone needs to know - go to Settings, Display, Arrangement. Drag the white line above one box to the other box. This represents dragging the menu bar from one display to the other.
