Using Google presentation on Proclaim

First off, I would like to thank you for creating Proclaim.  I have been a media, song base and Power Point user for years.  I have always wanted to have something that would work online and smoothly with media.  

We have been using it for a few months and have been enjoying it immensely.  I have started training other and two other churches on it's uses.  

Of course, no program is perfect but Proclaim sure cuts down on the overhead time of preparation and execution.

My question is....  will Proclaim also have the opportunity for importing Google presentation documents into Proclaim.  Since this is a quasi web based program, it would be nice to be able to use web based programs to run other presentation within Proclaim.

Hi Daniel. Cool question. I ran a little test and, lo and behold, it is quite possible, with a catch. The catch is that you are reliant on the internet cooperating to pull this off.

Step 1: Open your google presentation and choose the "Publish to the web" option from the "File" menu. This should display the dialogue below. Copy the URL indicated. Checking "Start slideshow as soon as the player loads" box seems like a good idea, but it causes the slides to start auto-advancing instead of waiting for you to manually advance them. Leaving it unchecked will cause the first slid to automatically load anyway, but it will then wait for you to advance it when you are ready.

Step 2: In your Proclaim presentation, add a web item from the "Add Item" menu as shown below.

Step 3: Paste the URL we copied earlier from the "Publish to web" dialogue in Google Presentations into the "Web Address" field of our new web item.

Step 4: Take the presentation On Air and hope your internet doesn't go down in the middle of the presentation.
