Faithlife and Logos iOS apps - duplication?

Having installed and been using both of the above apps on my iPhone 4S, I have noticed in the usage page in Settings on my phone that Faithlife is using 438MB, which is a huge amont of space.
What is actually taking up the space and how do I reduce the amount of memory used?
If I want to check one of my books,I can do that in the Logos app, I don't need to see it in Faithlife
Perhaps I don't need both apps
Please advise

I believe this will mainly be the Infographics and other media resources provided in Faithlife.
These include (and you can see these in your library):
- Faithlife Study Bible Infographics
- Faithlife Study Bible Photos
- Faithlife Study Bible Videos
I don't know the impact on the use of the Faithlife app of removing these from your library - it would certainly make accessing them slower. And, in many ways, these are some of the key components of the app.
So if you don't want these features I would consider removing the app.
Was there a particular reason you downloaded it along with the Bible app?

I have both apps because I need to access the Faithlife Groups, which I don't appear to be able to do from the Logos Bible app, unless I'm missing something.

That makes sense - and, no, at the moment you can't access Faithlife groups from the Bible app.
There is a discussion of the various apps at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/64981/454666.aspx - you might want to look at the Verbum app!
Alternatively, you could try removing the resources I mentioned above from the Faithlife app and see what impact it has - both on functionality / performance and on space utilisation. As mentioned I don't know whether this will actually stop the app functioning.

So I thought I would test this!
I removed the three resources I mentioned above and this reduced the amount of space my Faithlife app was using by about 300MB
The application continued to work fine - although the media resources wouldn't be available when working offline.
So this might be a valid option for you.
I was surprised to see that, even after removing those resources, my FSB app was using 2.4GB of storage and I just have 11 resources downloaded. I seem to remember discussions of storage not being released and just gradually increasing within FSB but don't know the current status of that.
Might be time for me to delete it and start again with FSB[:)]

Thanks for this information. If the Logos app allowed access to FL groups, all would be well.
thank for your help anyway

Yes, I wondered about this but I think there are a lot of Logos users who use the app but don't want to be part of Faithlife so wouldn't be too impressed if FL groups suddenly appeared there!
I think Logos' policy of having a range of applications available is a good one - sometimes working out which one (or which combination) to use can be a challenge!
