Proclaim Ate My Presentation

Today I opened the software at church after working for a couple of hours Fri on my home system. The new presentation for this weekend wouldn't even show up. It is there at home but not here at church.

So I closed it at church, used LogMeIn to close it at home and then opened again here. Still nothing. Went back to LogMeIn and now it's not at home either.

I'M EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED BY THIS!!

This software is not reliable enough for me to use.

Did you try typing its name into the search bar after clicking "open". I have had similar experiences, when a presentation is made on one computer and then subsequently opened on another. It doesn't look like its there, but if i start typing the name, there it is. I've never had one altogether disappear.

I see your edits on Friday on a presentation named "2013-02-2 AM", the last upload was at 12:17pm. If the your other computer has successfully been able to sync, no warning triangle in the upper right of Proclaim, then you should be able to open the presentation. If you are not able to find the presentation please attach the log files to this thread and I'll be able to look into the issue further.

This is all a bit superfluous now since the service is over.

I just rebuilt it quickly just before church.

Finally the "post log files" response is so frequent that you really need to build this into the program. Put it under the Account drop down list to export the log files so I don't have to go searching.

You will be glad to learn that tomorrow we will be shipping the first installment of our new automated logging system. This will alert us if a Proclaim client application encounters an error as it happens.

I’m very sorry to hear that you were frustrated this morning. Our goal with Proclaim is to make Sunday mornings go as easy as possible. To that end I need to understand what happened in your case to help prevent it happening to anyone again.

Did you have a warning triangle in the upper-right of the Proclaim window? This would point to a client sync error.

The open menu should show the most recently edited presentations first. We have a UI bug if your presentation wasn’t there at the top.

Or was it confusion with the typo in the presentation title “2013-02-2 AM” instead of “2013-02-20 AM”. It seems reasonable that you would see that date and assume it is an old presentation.

I saw no error icon.

i opened the presentation you highlighted and it was not the ne I wanted. The one. Wanted was just gone.
