What is the difference between Tag and Collection?
They do the same thing don't they?

They are similar yes. One difference is that you can search a collection… you can't search a tag without creating a collection.

Yep, you can search tags:
Differences:
- Collections can be built with rules which automatically pick up new matching resources. Tags must be manually added.
- Collections can be exported and printed. Tags can't.
- Collections can be saved as a bibliography document. Tags can't.
- Collections can include other collections. Tags can't.

My bad. I'm having problems with that field populating (that is another thread)… but it is working now. [:)]

You can create a single collection out of multiple tags. For example tag:spurgeon, tag:lloyd-jones, [etc.] (note that most of my Lloyd-Jones stuff is actually his sermons.
You could also create a single collection of all Greek language stuff by doing tag:greeklexicon, tag:greekgrammar, tag:nttheologicaldictionary, tag:greekbibles, [etc.]
You could tag everything two or three times as well and get the same end results.
The combination of tagging & collection building offers different strategies for both organizing one's library (for finding works in one's library) and searching within one's library with varying degrees of limitedness.

Hi,
just to add ... If you want Parallel Resources Set, you need a collection.

Thanks, P A!!
I thought for sure us 'taggers' were going to get beat up by the collection-ists.
The search by tag surprised me. I have driven through northern Alabama though.

Have done work at Redstone. None that left planet earth though! Very beautiful area; quite relaxing.

I spent every summer growing up there. I consider it a second home, but I'm afraid my visits will come much less frequently… my grandmother passed away late last year.
