"Bible Text Only" in the Psalms

The new Bible text only visual filter is an interesting addition. But, in the psalms it looks like this. Notice that it explicitly labels the title.

I think this label doesn't look good. The all-caps font sets it apart enough from the text IMHO. Notice how LDLS handles this.

Personally, I'd drop the format #:title and just give the chapter number.

This is a feature I requested (as well as some others), and is very helpful for the CBV module. All the Psalm titles are labeled titles to distinguish them from verse "1" in most English texts.

I think it looks better than what we see in your LDLS screen shot, which puts v.1 with the title, instead of with what would be considered verse 1 in most English texts.

(Note that these titles are present in the original Biblical texts. Maybe you knew that.)

Yes, I know that the titles are translation of the Hebrew headings/prescripts. What I meant to say was that having 62:title looks bad in that it messes with the justification (the layout term, not the theological term) of the title itself. It does not match the column of the Bible text, that looks bad in my opinion. My suggestion is to strike "title" and have something like this:

    ##   TITLE

1     Verse begins here and then goes on....

    (## = the chapter number)

I suppose that with the NJB matching the NRSV rather than the JPS I have to concede this difference ... so I'm going with the offset method of indexing: the first occurence of a verse is verse 0 (don't worry - this is a programmers joke)
