BUG - PNG with transparency not transparent

I found some posts from April and June of 2012 about transparency issues. Good Friday 2013, I found this was still an issue.
I created a png image file with transparency on my Windows 7 machine. Added the image to a slide in Proclaim, and uploaded the file. All looked great!
Went to the Mac we use in the church worship, and the image looked terrible where it should have been transparent. Had to bring in my Windows laptop to make it look decent.
It also looked terrible on my Nexus 7 Proclaim app.
Is the issue with the uploaded image? Is it being converted to a jpg or something? It worked well on the machine where the image was made, and uploaded from, but not on other devices dependent upon the uploaded file.

Mike,
I will take a look at this issue tomorrow morning. If I understand you correctly, the image only looks right on Windows machines? If you could post a screenshot of the image on a machine that doesn't render correctly, it might help me out. Thanks!

Hi Travis!
Here is the picture from the Windows Machine where I created the image:
And here is the image from the Mac, where the image came in because it had been uploaded:
And here is the original image:
Lastly, if I create the content slide in Proclaim on the Mac, it looks perfect on the Mac... but then the image has the white outline on the Windows machine which gets it from the uploaded image. So it appears to be an issue with the images coming into the machines from the uploaded images. Somehow transparency is being lost in the upload/download process.
Hope that helps!

It is almost as if the png files are being stored as jpg files.

Just noticed:
If I create a new content slide, and add an image from my uploaded images, I have two seder plate images. One from the Windows computer, and one from the Mac computer.
The one uploaded from the Windows computer works on the Windows computer, but not the Mac. The one uploaded from the Mac works on the Mac, but not on the Windows. Interesting...
The image on the left was from the Windows computer, and works on the Windows computer. The image on the right is from the Mac, and works on the Mac (even though this image has a white background in the preview on both machines, and the other has the black background in preview on both machines)

It looks like the processing done to the image when it is uploaded does something to break the transparency. I've submitted a bug report so this will be looked at soon.

Thank you, Travis!
FYI, checked on my home desktop tonight, and neither image (the one from the Windows machine, or the Mac) has the transparency. Just more info.
Thank you for logging this bug so it can be fixed!
Appreciate all you guys are doing to help us in our churches!
People in the congregation, and the worship pastor who works another full-time job have made some positive comments since our switch to Proclaim. It is nice for the pastor to not have to make special trips to the church to put in his songs!

Thanks for a quick reply. I needed it for something that I'm presenting this weekend for a 30th anniversary celebration, but I will just have to do without. Thanks again. I must say that I really like the program.
