Cannot make notes on my Through the Bible study

After the past few updates to Faithllife program on my iPad, I can no longer make notes either personal or community. (I can still highlite) I used to get at least 4 or 5 comments via email, but recently if i get a comment it is from a note I left month's ago. I am not seeing other peoples notes in the daily readings. I really miss the communication. I will try to make a not on my iMac and MacBook which I haven't done yet to see if it is a problem with the iPad. Please help.
