Bug = unable to load and run videos

Proclaim will not load or run videos. We have the new program from last week installed. Videos were loaded locally and on the cloud. None have worked. They appear white screens on the presentation.
What is Proclaims video limits? One video was 210 Mb and the other was 87 Mb. Is there a resolution limit? Is there a data rate limit?

Both videos play on the computer using VLC.
Restarted Proclaim several times during the test.
The new updates from last week was installed for the testing.

Matt,
Are you running the latest version of Proclaim? We did have some issues with videos in the past couple updates that should all be fixed now. To check you can go to the "Help" menu and click "About Proclaim". This window will check if there is an update and let you know.

Is there anyway that you could help me as well. I can't have looped backgrounds, videos or play music.

Zachery,
What happens when you try to load a video or looped background. Do you see anything? If you can try to upload a video and then follow the instructions in this post to post your logs here it could help me to see what is going on.

Not sure if this applies, but our proclaim software started crashing this week when trying to load this weeks videos. The same videos would run on the computer using VLC. I noticed the crashing videos had a resolution of 1140x1080. I re-sized them to 640x? and they worked.

Proclaim uses the same CODECs as Media Player. You cannot verify Proclaim by using VLC. ( I did the same thing). VLC has it's own CODECs.
If Media Player cannot play the video, Proclaim cannot play the video. In our case, we were trying to run MP4 video and that would not work. We switched to WMV and it played in Proclaim. We are running XP SP3. We are probably going to move to Windows 7.

When I upload a video it just shows the first frame of the video and never plays. When I try to use it from my harddrive it just shows a white screen and never loads. I'll have to upload a log sheet tomorrow when I have my computer back.

Zachery,
Normally the local-load is easiest. When I got a white screen, it's not going to play. Did you verify the video with Media Player?

This is my error log, I might not have the correct format but I will get it checked out because I use VLC as well and hardly ever use WMV. I'm gonna convert all my files and see if that helps.

Posted up my log but i have another question. Do you have to have windows media on the computer for proclaim to work because I have it removed?

Someone would have to review your log file. I'm just another user.

If I understand correctly, Proclaim uses MediaPlayer's codecs.
I would think that MP would need to be installed and running correctly for Proclaim to operate. I could be wrong, but most of the tests I've run says that MP is your test for video file formats.

Zachery,
Proclaim uses Windows Media Player to play videos, so you do have to have it installed.
