Community Notes & Personal Notes

Hello!

Quick question.  I'm wanting to be able to share insights with others from our local church but I still want to be able to have them in my personal notes collection as well.

When I create a community note is that permanently saved for me so that when I'm reading I'll be able to see it my e-reader or other device just like I can with my personal notes?

Any help is much appreciated.  Thanks all!  :)

It is saved permanently, but it is saved "in the cloud" (on our servers), so you need to be online to see it. Personal notes are saved on your device, and then synced (via our servers) to all your other computers/devices so you can still access them while offline.

Bradley, are you saying then, that all my personal notes I create in my Logos are all uploaded and stored "in the cloud" on your servers when I am online? I am fast reaching a place where I would so disappointed if my computer was stolen (for example) and I lost all of my personal insights and notations.

Yes. that is what Bradley is saying. If your computer is stolen do the following

    • report it stolen to insurance and/or police and/or spouse
    • purchase new computer
    • install Logos/Verbum
    • open Logos/Verbum and allow the download of your resources
    • close and open Logos/Verbum and allow indexing
    • with the exception of personal books you are now right where you were on your old machine.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Of course now with L6 you can keep your PBB as well.
