Vyrso.com bug; pre-orders disappearing from cart

1. Go to the product description page of a pre-order book (I did "Through Gates of Splendour")

2. Click on either "Quick Buy" or "Pre-order" (these both do the same thing, which is another bug I've reported earlier, so it doesn't matter which you choose; both will reproduce this)

3. Do not click "Place order" but instead click your browser's Back button.

4. Now click on "Cart"

Result: The book you added to your cart is no longer there, and you didn't explicitly delete it from your cart.

If I'm wanting to do some further shopping after one pre-order, my instinct would be to click Back in my browser and go find another book, place that one in my cart, etc., until I'm ready to check out. This works fine with all other books in Vyrso, but not pre-orders.

    Hi Rosie!

I'm sorry that you've been experiencing these problems. I've notified our ecommerce team of the bug, and we will hopefully find a solution soon. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help improve your shopping experience. Again, I apologize for the problem.

    Thanks,

    Brian

    Rosie,

Thank you for bringing this up.  Currently the cart only stores live items for purchase.  With the nature of a preorder being that you don't get charged until it's released, it is handled differently.  I have added this to our future feature request list.

Thanks for taking it into consideration. Since there is one final step to confirm the order, it would be nice if you could collect several preorders together in the cart before confirming. I know it's a minor thing, but it is a bit odd that it works differently for preorders than for regular books.
