We're switching to Proclaim from SongShowPlus, but we've been stuck on a performance problem. When we play a song with a motion background and move between verses with the fade transition, the animation is not smooth - fade through is very choppy, displaying only about 2-3 frames before moving to the next slide, and sometimes if we're using the menu system while the presentation is On Air, the video gets very choppy. This happens both for the church's projection computer and on a laptop.
The laptop is an HP tc4400, 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM, Windows 8 Pro, video is Intel 945 express chipset
The desktop projector machine is an HP dc5800 SFF, 256GB HD, 4GB RAM, Windows XP SP3, NVidia GEForce 7200 GS, CPU = Intel Pentium E2140.
Is this just a case of inadequate hardware, or system misconfiguration, or should it run fine on these machines? SongShowPlus is able to run on this hardware without any problems.
