Bug or Mac issue?: no indexing after restart

Even KS4J can't figure out what's going on with the Indexer.

No idea how this thread got moved to the Beta forum, but I guess it fits since I was just in the process of updating to the RC.

That seems to have fixed the issue, though it doesn't solve the mystery of why my Mac suddenly couldn't find and launch the Indexer at startup.

And I still think it's unacceptable that you simply ignore an issue like this.

Oh, yes, there was another issue in that thread as well: an awful lot of strange log messages during the indexing of LLS:OTGRKSWETETXT.logos4. Someone probably should take a look at that to see if anything needs to be done to the resource.

    Hello fgh,

I apologize for the oversight. I missed your thread. I also do not know why this occurs, but I have encountered it before, and resolved it by removing and re-installing the app file.

The issue seems to be an incomplete copy of the app file itself. The indexer component appeared to be effectively missing. It is very rare that it happens, and we haven't been able to identify any common element to explain the occurrence, but it is simple enough to fix once you have an idea of what's going on.
