It bothers me that they post RC releases in the regular forum, since a user has to switch to beta channel to get it before it's official. Seems confusing at best.

Can you please clarify what you mean when you state 'continual syncing'? Do you mean that your sync icon in the upper right is constantly spinning? Or do you mean that when you close down the application, syncing does not cease?
