Why is it that deleting uploaded media STILL doesn't work?

I've asked about this for a year now. Highlighting an uploaded media file (background, video...) and selecting delete does absolutely nothing. Am I missing something. I was told the file had to be removed from all other presentations first. OK - did that. The delete process still has no effect. This seems like a basic feature.

What am I missing?

I agree! We upload about 10-12 announcement slides weekly which equals a lot of unneeded items to scroll through/load when looking through media for certain items.

Annoying, certainly, but you're not missing anything. It seems that since they set it up to use server redundancy, when you delete a file only one of the servers gets the "delete this file" message. Seems to me after the file is removed the other server says, "Hey, this file doesn't exist over there, here it is!"
