Everything is Highlighted!

This happens randomly, and I can't figure what triggers it. Every word is individually highlighted. Tell me how simple it is to fix, and let's all laugh together!

Problem is on right side of this image:

    1. What is in  the Search tab? A * would result in the behaviour you show.

    2. What visual filter(s) are on in the Where to Find It tab? That could also be the source of the problem.

I've had a corrupted highlight like that before.  I removed it by right clicking on the highlighted text, and selecting "Remove annotations".

EDIT: Oh I see the individual word part....see MJ's comments above

Yup, the individual words suggests a wildcard match. See KS4J's post here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/47119.aspx  I wonder if you were experimenting with this method (it recently came up again on the forums) and forgot to close that Search tab.

---No * in search. I had previously searched for 'perspective' and selected "Where to Find It" from the list.

I had searched for 'perspective' and selected this resource from many available. Maybe you can see 'perspective' highlighted just a shade lighter than all the rest.

However, this has happened before. I checked the Visual Filters and found that a couple of notes and an Untitled Visual Filter were all selected (3 items.) I don't see a connection with the content of those items, but I'll try anything. I'm un-checking everything in visual filters and I will report back here.

Thank you for the replies... very helpful community!

If I did this it was unintentional... I am un-checking everything in visual filters and will see if that isolates issue.

Do you have a Search tab open? Try closing the Search tab.

OK - I found the problem. There is a visual filter for yellow highlighting set for *. I guess I did that... even though I have no memory of setting anything like this up. But definitely fixed the problem. Thank you for all the wonderful help... I will come to the forums and participate more often!

    Glad you figured it out.

Yes, the forums are a great way to learn how to get the most out of Logos.
