Have you looked under "tools"?
Here is the wiki about highlighting : http://wiki.logos.com/Highlighting

Additionally, you can press F1 on your keyboard which opens the help menu and type the desired term. logos4:Help;ref=helpon That link takes you to the highlight instructions.

Hi Mike,
You will find that there are default files where highlights are made related to the specific palettes you select. Some of us applied highlights for years using this default behavior. Unfortunately, that will leave you with little control over some aspects of your highlighted text; e.g., turning highlights on and off while you read, sharing highlights/notes with others.
This issue is related to controlling your notes and where they go. There have been several threads on the General and Logos 5 forums which talk about highlighting and notes. I would suggest that you browse them before you invest a lot of time in notes and highlighting. The default behavior of Logos is fine, but with a little planning your notes can be much more useful in the future.
For starters, I would recommend: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/71146.aspx
When I read this I was surprised that most of the aficionados here were creating a note file for each resource as their default. Additionally they set each highlighting palette to "Save in: most recent note file". One major advantage to this technique is to be able to easily find all the highlighting and notes collected for a given resource. Also, you can use the visual filter tool to turn your annotations on and off with one click.
I decided to create a special folder in my Favorites just to hold created notes files for each resource. This will help me to avoid creating multiple notes files for the same resource.

Here's a thread where a Logos employee recounts spending an evening fixing up his highlighting after the fact. Save yourself the time and organize in advance! [:)]

Hi David,
I cannot find "Tools" available anywhere on the page. I'm most likely missing something but I'm on a Mac and although this page was very helpful, it does me little good because I cannot find the Tools menu.
Thanks!

Hi - and welcome to the forums
This is a very old thread in the Logos 5 forum (Logos software is now at version 6.8) so things may have changed
But the Tools menu is available at the top of the main Logos screen
(This is on Windows but I believe it is the same on Mac)
What specifically are you trying to do, what issues are you having?

Sorry Andy - the image still isn't appearing properly
Are you simply using the paperclip icon to attach a screenshot?

I used the paper clip icon on last post. You don't see the image? I tried using the hyperlink previously with image hosting. No good.
Interesting. Image I posted shows no Library icon or Tools icon. Only1. Box with an arrow
2. Search Icon
3. Box with a check mark
4. Comment iconBelow has "Go" "Resources" & "Favorites" with no options available for highlighting

Sorry Andy - I did see the image but I assumed there was more to it than that. My apologies.
I think I understand - you aren't using the desktop software but rather using the Faithlife study bible online - https://bible.faithlife.com/books/esv/Jn1.1
Is that the case?
If so Tools like highlighting - and a range of other features - aren't available.
If you haven't already done so I would get the free Logos engine - available at https://www.logos.com/install - install that on your computer and see how you get on.
But that does assume you have purchased some resources - you can use some resources for free on the Faithlife site but you need to purchase them for the desktop application.
Is this starting to make sense?
