Missing Features
Autoscroll does not seem to work with the Beta. I'm using a microsoft mouse. Rather then using the built in windows version, I would love to see and autoscroll feature added that would give more control over the scrolling speed.

I am using a third wheel mouse that came with my Dell computer. The wheel function works poorly (jerking and slow) when I roll it. THe ability to press down on the whell and dragging to scroll (four way/arrows) is not working at all. I have to actually click on the scroll bar and evn then it is slow.

I use an old Logitech third-wheel trackball and it works perfectly (if not sluggishly via the the slow Beta).

I did forget to add, however, that the "Internet" forward/backward buttons do not work in Logos (naturally, it is no longer tied to IE so I shouldn't expect it to work...but it would be nice in navigating within the given window).

Is this a yet-to-be-implemented feature to be carried over from Logos 3? I hope so, b/c I use both icons frequently while working in Word.
Would someone from Logos comment on this, please?
Thanks!0 -
Bob Pritchett has confirmed in another post Sentence Diagramming will not be part of 4.0 - it will be back at some unspecified point - lets hope its something like 4.0a rather than 5.0...

The ability to do a count of the number of resources in your library is not available at this point, though Bob has said should be by final release. Application will take care of looking after missing resources but having number as a check that the application is doint that job is important.

Interlinears are no longer separate resources....the implication of this in tems of mophological filters are still yet to be determined.... (see thread on Missing ESV Reverse Interlinear)

From user reports and comments it appears Visual Markups are missing, with only visual filers being available at this point in time....

you can get this number by doing the following filter in a collection.

I have yet to find an equivalent to a verse list. Is the functionality somewhere I haven't found? Is it in the planning? This would be very very missed. In fact I would be very surprised to see such a feature not in a Bible software program and would be curious to find out why it is missing. Of course, most likely I just haven't thought of how to do it yet :-)

I had sort of gotten my hopes up for a reflow or some kind of multi column option when reading. I really liked this in the global reader. what would would be nice is an "open reflow pane" when you right click click on a tab. This would create a side by side pane, the right pane picking up where the left pane leaves off. it would look somewhat like this. Shouldn't have gotten my hopes up from the global reader I suppose :-)

Thanks Phillip for your information on the number of resources.
Longtime Logos user (more than $30,000 in purchases) - now a second class user because I won't pay them more every month or year.

what do you man by a "verse list"? Do you have a screen shot from 3.0?
It gives you the option of adding all the verses from the active Word document or from the clipboard.
Why is that needed when you can open up one window to fill the screen with the "reading" option?
Yeah, forget I said anything. while I still think it would be good, my posting it was more a result of being up too long and glaring at the forum and 4.0. while I think it would be a good feature (at least, how it exists in my head) I would hate for a programmer to take valuable time to do anything with it. there are far more important things.

Mutli-column reading view is on our to-do list as well, but we've put it behind other features... I hope it won't be too far out!0 -

The Verse List (and Word List) didn't make 4.0, but should follow afterwards.

Will the object model be open in 4.0? Will I be able to play around with integration with Office VBA?

You can highlight morphologically in interlinear resources, although I have sometimes had trouble getting the highlighting to show up.
Thanks for posting these Philip, I appreciate it. It though only goes to show how much is lost with not having a standalone interlinear , the OL data is separated from the text and hence highlighting and you eyes have to dart back and forth up an down the page to try and follow what is so simple to do in v3.0. I just dont' understand the thinking in doing what has been done here as it really breaks up workflow. But even beyond this from the comments I've seen posted, the precept hightlight tools look like they are not functional... I just hope they are going to be there before 4.0 is released. Some clarification on all of this from Logos would be helpful at this point.
