Unable to add text on content slide

For some reason, there are times when I add a content slide, and then after I change the background using an image I have imported, the ability to add text disappears. If text has already been added, it disappears. If I change the background back to a standard background, I can see/add text again. Why is this happening?

This is a known issue and our developers are looking into it.

In the meantime, you can select Customize, then add a custom caption Main Content field and your text will be back.
