Hang - download is hanging, Crash - crashes after restart from hanging.

Mac 10.8.4
Logos 5.1 SR-3 (5.1.0.0979)
I've been trying to update logos for several days. I start an update, then it hangs somewhere between 5-10%. I've left it running 2 or 3 days and it never moves.
The LogosIndexer runs like crazy the whole time. The computer really heats up, too. I've tried this several times over the last couple of weeks and get similar results. I end up killing the LogosIndexer process or rebooting.
This time I started after a reboot. It said I needed to download 943 MB. I told it to start. It ran a while then hung at 5%. I was still connecting to the Internet, so I'm not sure why it chose to stop. I've got about 29GB of free space on the HD, so that shouldn't be an issue.
After it hung, I closed Logos. I restarted and waited - the update window did not show up. The blue icon said downloading 5%.... I reran Update Now and it said nothing is available. I clicked to close the message and the app crashed.
To be clear, this is a new problem for me. I've been using Logos on this machine for a couple of years and have never had trouble updating. I'm not sure what the deal is. I'm living in Accra, Ghana and don't have the best internet connection, yet, I've not lost the connection during the download. Or, if the connection did drop, it came back pretty fast. I'm not sure how tolerant logos is of a dropped connection. I hope it's pretty good since I'm using it in Africa.
Here's my handy dandy log file.
I'm going to try this next, pause the indexing and continue the download. But, any advice is very welcome!

First kill the Indexer and quit Logos. Then update your Mac to the latest with the installer from https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/mac/install.
If the problem continues delete the folder /Users/jason/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/yaf5jzto.wcx/UpdateManager/ and restart Logos. hopefully this will kill the 604 queued updates!

I killed the Indexer, pulled down the installer and updated to 5.1b SR-1 (5.1.2.0079).
I restarted. It looked like I was having the same problem, so I closed the programe, killed the Indexer and deleted the .../UpdateManager/
I restarted. It said I have 700+ MB to download. I told it to start. It got to 2% and hung. The Indexer ran all night. I killed it this morning and re-ran the log file.
I'm not sure what to do now.0 -

I'm sorry you are having this aggravation, Jason. An error shown in previous logs has returned. It would be best to contact Logos Support directly for further diagnosis.

08:17| I restarted Logos, it began indexing. It appears to have started a download, too.
I remember setting it to auto download in case this might help if it dropped connection in the middle of a download.
I wonder if indexing and downloading at the same time is a bad idea. The indexing got to 7% in the first minute or so, but when the download kicked in, it appears to have stopped.
It looks like the download stopped by 8:24 at 0% of 681.8 MB. I can update FireFox pages, so the Internet is still up. The indexing is at 7% still. I'll leave it sit for a while.
The log says, "Library indexing completed in 31.34s." But, the program still says 7%. Does this reflect the index + the download? That would be strange. It's odd the log says it's done, but the program says 7%.
The log then says, "IndexerProgram | Entering download-only mode." Then it tries to merge and other stuff. I'll run the log scribe here. (LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-083605) 2627.LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-083605.gz
Ok. At 10:05 I decided to change Automatically Download Updates to No, close Logos. Once Logos was closed I killed LogosIndexer. Here's the log (LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-100751). 8524.LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-100751.gz
Now, I'm restarting Logos.
Indexing appears to be progressing as it should. It tells me I have 30.8MB to download - I wait on that.
Logos has been reporting Indexing is at 95% for quite a while now. The LogosIndexer has been running around 43% of my CPU usage. The index log reports it was done at 10:18 and is, "Setting status to BackgroundDownloading." I wonder why it is still reporting 95% done? Nothing is downloading from the internet, so I wonder what BackgroundDownloading means.
So, I'll stop Logos now (I didn't kill the LogosIndexer), create another log archive (LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-105005). 1882.LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-105005.gzRestart wait for it to settle in and create another log (LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-105417). The blue Icon says Downloading 0% of 688.8 MB - but nothing is downloading. In the app it says, "Updates are available 30.8 MB." Strange they don't match up.4274.LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-105417.gz
Nothing is downloading. LogosIndexer is still running.
Now I'll Click here to download updates. Nothing is happening. The app doesn't show anything downloading and still says Click here..., the blue icon still says 0% of 688.8 MB, no change to my internet (iStat is not showing anything downloading, but I have a live connection) no change to CPU usage - still the ~44% LogosIndexer. New log file (LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-110002).4456.LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-110002.gz
Ok. I'm closing Logos, killing LogosIndexer, new log (LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-110258).1067.LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-110258.gz
At 12Kbs it's going to take me forever to upload all these logs!
Restart Logos. This time it started with no Index message, no Download message. LogosIndexer doesn't appear to be running. Log file (LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-110654). But, some of the books I've purchased still aren't in my Library, so I know I'm not done.
7802.LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-110654.gz
There are 11 dirs in .../UpdateManager/Resources/.
I'm running Update Now in the command - No new updates found. Time to restart.
Now it's indexing again, and the blue icon says Downloading 0% of 710.4 MB! In the app it just showed Updates are available 9.2 MB. LogosIndexer seems to be downloading something, though the blue icon doesn't show anything.
Seem to be stuck at 97%. Log again says it's done.
Quiting Logos, killing the indexer, making a log (LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-113204) and giving up!5444.LogosLogs Jason Hopkins 20131007-113204.gz0 -
Looks like you posted while I was posting. Thanks for the effort. I'll give Logos Support a shot.
