Good news! Daniel & Revelation Committee Series coming to Logos!
I am delighted to announce that the much-requested Daniel & Revelation Committee Series of 7 volumes is coming to Logos! If you can believe it, I was phoning Dr. Souza at BRI yesterday to ask him about it, and before I could mention the purpose of my call, he asked me if Logos would be willing to publish the set! In fact, unbeknownst to me, he had even mailed us the books already!
Dr. Souza is a big fan of Logos and told me he wished we could publish more of their materials. I told him that anything they have that they will give us, Logos will publish it!
So I am absolutely delighted. It will take some time for the 7 volumes to be digitized and coded, but by God's grace it will be happening! Look for it on pre-pub soon.

Reimer, I'll be on the Andrews U campus next week as the moderator of the 180/CYE Symposium on young adult attrition. I just sent you an email about it requesting some information, if you can help me with that. Thanks!

Probably the best news since slice bread cost ten cents. Will definitely be selling the paper version once I get the digital.

Lynden, you are the one who requested this originally, and you've stirred up enthusiasm. They ought to dedicate the digital edition in Logos to you!
This will take a few months for the process to run, since there is a backlog of requested materials at Logos. This will jump to the front of the SDA queue.

Does this work argue for the traditional date or the late date? I'd be very interested in a decent modern scholarly defense of the traditional date if this contains one.

Argues that Daniel was written in by the prophet Daniel around the time of the events spoken of. Ok, traditional date. The late Gerhard Hasel is a very conservative scholar. Search your library and see what comes up. Gerhard Hasel in Logos.
See what Google has to say. He is well respected. https://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&q=http%3A%2F%2Fgrisda.org%2F%3Fs%3Dgerhard%2Bhasel&sa=Search

Any date later than 350 bce should be laughed to derision. After decimating Tyre, Alexander by-passed Jerusalem in 332 with a peck on the cheek. Only one reason makes sense...he was told that he was expected according to Daniel's prophecy. The historians say, "It didn't happen because it couldn't happen! Daniel hadn't been written yet!" Yeah, yeah...so explain Alexander not so much as lifting a finger against Jerusalem, because, of course, history shows he didn't.
One other thing the Daniel deniers can't explain...all the prophecy that was fulfilled after the time they finally admit the book had to have been written, and which is being fulfilled even at this time.
Hey! Maybe the book of Daniel STILL hasn't been written!!

What gets me is Study Bibles that discuss or even promote the late date.
As if they are saying something like 'this is the word of God or maybe not.'
