Using a different font in notes doesn't work correctly

Description

Attempting to change fonts in notes does not work unless text is already typed and selected when choosing font.

Repro

  1. Create a note
  2. Activate the editable part of the note.
  3.  Select a new font or font size from the popup ribbon
  4. Type
  5. Characters show up in default font.

Actual Result

  • Normal typeface is used

Expected Result

  • Selected typeface would be used



System Specs

  • HP Laptop
  • 6 GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
  • Vista Ultimate 64 bit

Comments

  • When the note is first created, there is no font selected in the ribbon.
  • Once some text has had its font changed by selecting the text and changing the font, it displays correctly. However, trying to change the font to something else doesn't work. The font name is changed in the ribbon, but going back to the text, causes the ribbon to display the previous font - which is used in the text.
  • Screen updating and updating the font list seems to be very slow.
