Hopeful suggestion for Groups on Proclaim

I've been working with Groups on Proclaim / Faithlife as I plan to integrate our entire presentation team(s) into this system.

I was a little confused about Groups via Faithlife --> what the benefit is (aside from communication items because we already have a communication system strategy in place)....and I was thinking, wrongly, that if I create those individual presentation Groups in Proclaim and it appears in Faithlife that it is included under our license agreement, but I don't think it is.

I can't say enough about how I would LOVE this feature if it did!  We have several potential presentation teams at our church ie: youth, children's and even our upcoming Saturday night vs. Sunday morning presentation teams...that would benefit from their own specific "Group" because

1) they create worship lyrics very specific for their ministry, which differ from other ministries - and it would be helpful to have their lyrics kind of "sorted out" of the main mix so they can find/reuse theirs easily, and a group in Proclaim would accomplish that.

2) Sometimes our people would like to be presenting "On Air" simultaneously, but in different rooms.

3) I would like for our teams to be able to each use their own level of creativity in creation of presentation - our Saturday service will be the same material used in Sunday morning, but our Sat night team may like to change backgrounds and use different creative ideas than our Sunday am...that kind of thing.

There may be more benefit from this that I can think of right now.  But I just wanted to throw it out there.  I kind of unknowingly tested it by creating the groups in Proclaim - and was thrilled thinking it might work, but I realized I was using the 30-day free trial for those groups so that's why it was working ...

    Hi Stephanie

I understand exactly what you are asking for and understand how it could be really useful.

As I think you have deduced the current Proclaim licensing model is on a per-group basis and so to support what you are asking for would require multiple licenses.

our Saturday service will be the same material used in Sunday morning, but our Sat night team may like to change backgrounds and use different creative ideas than our Sunday am

I am not quite sure how this would work if you went down the multiple groups path as I don't know how you would easily share content across group boundaries.

A conceptual solution to this would be to have the concept of sub-groups where the licence is linked to the "top" group but content and streaming rights are managed at the sub-group level. This could, in some way, support the concept of sharing material as required.

Similar ideas have been suggested in the past - see http://community.logos.com/forums/p/54180/394734.aspx#394734 for an example.

But, for now, just confirming that this isn't possible within the current product (to the best of my knowledge) but I think it would be a really useful thing for Logos to look at.

I expect it is primarily a licencing and commerial issue although I am sure some code modifications would be needed to support this type of functionality.

    Thanks!

Yes! This is exactly like what I'm asking.  I would love to see them integrate it. and I like the idea you mentioned:

I am in the same dilema. Different teams lead different services and would really like different groups for them.

Is a solution coming to this soon?

    Thank you!
