RC2 Crashes on Startup - help! Need working copy for Xmas Break ...

RC2 has just installed, but it consistently crashes on startup.

Can I roll back to RC1?

Were you using SR7 before? If so you mightneed to take "Melisa" s advice:

Charles, John and others with a Runtime error updating from SR-7 ~

Try deleting the Install folder in the Logos 4 directory, then run the Logos4Setup.exe again.

I was able to work around this by going to the command line and typing:

set update channel to beta

It updated to RC2

Afterward, remember to change it back by typing:

set update channel to default

It did run a merge index under RC2, but I had many books that were not merged in before I updated from SR7

Yes - the crash is happening after I sign on.

I'm going to uninstall and reinstall.

Before you do, have you opened to a blank workspace? Hold CTRL when starting and select the appropriate option.

I decided to reinstall, and it seems to be OK, though one crash during indexing, but at least the software loads now.
