Bible slide only allows changing the version from the ones that appear (my top bibles). When I select more and try to choose a different translation it will not change to that. The click appears not to do anything

I've just tried it and it works here.
Do you mean that you don't get the popup when you click on "More" (as below) or that when you click on a version in that popup it doesn't have any effect?
Are you running on Mac or Windows?

It sounds like he is running a Mac, and this is a bug that is still not fixed. :-) To change your translation, you must hover your mouse above (denoted by the red horizontal line in the picture below) until your cursor becomes a little hand that points. Once you do that, click with the hand (not the arrow) and the translation will change. Hopefully they will fix this soon.

That explains why, yesterday, it took a flurry of clicks (in frustration) to bring up a quote from 'The Message'.
Hopefully they will fix this soon.
