I have a student here who is asking for my help in purchasing a computer. The heaviest software he needs to run is Logos. My confusion stems from the new processors that are being used. It used to be that you looked for a dual core or even better a quad core. Nowadays, processors are i3 i5 etc. What is the difference? does the number of cores not matter anymore?
