IT'S HERE: Daniel & Revelation Committee Series (7 vols.)
Finally after much pleading and asking, the Daniel and Revelation Committee Series is finally coming to Logos.
The seven-volume Daniel & Revelation Committee Series is one of the most important publications in SDA history. Commissioned by the Daniel and Revelation Study Committee in response to the Glacier View theology crisis of the early 1980s, the series explains how the 2,300 day / year prophecy of Daniel 8 culminates in the 1844 pre-advent judgment. Edited by Frank B. Holbrook, this series is the crown jewel of SDA scholarship in biblical prophecy and the heavenly sanctuary doctrine. Readers will find in-depth discussions dealing with major prophecies in Daniel and Revelation, as well as allied themes in Leviticus and Hebrews. These volumes provide fresh insight into sanctuary imagery throughout Revelation, as well as a compelling biblical defense of the historicist interpretation of prophecy.
At $7.13 per volume (considering all the links that have to be genereated) it is a steal.

I celebrate with you, Lynden. It took a while to find just the right person to work with me and get this transacted--Dr. Elias Souza of Biblical Research Institute, an avid Logos user. And this is just the beginning of our collaboration.

Only Martin could answer that. Considering the importance of this collection, I would hope so.

for the suspense, I guess Martin will not answer that

Edwin, I'm just catching up with your blog post. The answer is Yes--hopefully! I definitely plan on having DARCOM included in at least one of the two new SDA base packages. I regard it as a core component, based on all I'm hearing from you guys as well as from my own respect for this series.

Chicken or egg question:
If we wait for the SDA base package and NOT buy it now will it still be in the base package?
That is does X number of us have to buy it in pre-pub to get it into the base package?
And if we, as loyal members of the X number, do buy it in pre-pub what % of the price we pay will be refunded under dynamic pricing?
[[I got each of Verbum Capstone and Capstone Plus for less then the price of one set that I had on my wish list that was included in the set]]

That's a real good question ...!!!!

Important questions, David. It's impossible to predict exactly what the dynamic pricing discount will be when the SDA base package comes out. That's computed outside of my office. All I can tell you is this: I will do my best to get DARCOM into at least one of the new SDA base packages that we plan to post in pre-pub in January or early February. We must keep the Logos SDA base packages priced the same as the standard Logos base packages, and that is why I can't promise anything. But I do believe we can get DARCOM into SDA Silver and maybe even SDA Bronze, but almost certainly not SDA Starter. (As you can see, I'm planning now to have three SDA BPs @ $294 for Starter, $629 for Bronze, or $999 for Silver. Your cost will be reduced according to dynamic pricing--but (as mentioned) it's impossible to know just how much.

so we know about the three possible packages, is it too much asking about the content? or at least the major things in the packages?
About the price, will there be a special "starting price" (cheaper I mean)? or will it be the price you posted?
I know that this may be confidential information that should not be release yet. Do not feel uncomfortable with my questions. if you do not feel like answering them, that's ok for me

In case you have not seen this set as yet.
Defends the historicity of the book of Daniel, explains Adventist belief on the Sanctuary, 2300 day prophecy, the little horn, 70 week prophecy, among others. Written by some of the Church's top scholars from the Biblical Research Institute. https://adventistbiblicalresearch.org/
No need to rely on second hand scorces trying to explain Adventist beliefs.

All those bumps, and this is the first time I've seen this mentioned. Looks interesting--I'm in. So, Lynden...is this the Final Word on this subject from the SDA perspective?

The final word until there is further information, or a better way to express it. See.... Church manual., p. 156
"Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold
certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These
beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church’s understanding and expression
of the teaching of Scripture. Revision of these statements may be expected
at a General Conference session when the church is led by the Holy
Spirit to a fuller understanding of Bible truth or finds better language in
which to express the teachings of God’s Holy Word."Mission: To serve God as He desires.
